This section contains a range of resources designed to support the teaching of modern foreign languages and children with English as an additional language.

All the resources have been created and used in my own classroom.

Last year, I had a polish child start in my class and initially I was at a loss as to what to do as I had no knowledge of Polish or how best to support him in the classroom. I also wanted to support the other children and develop their knowledge of another language so I created a range of polish-english resources. They are now permanently on display in my classroom and have really helped to integrate the polish boy into the class.

We begun teaching languages in our school last year and had to start from scratch as the children had no knowledge of either French or Spanish. Each time we have taught a new topic I have created a range of posters and signs for my classroom so that the children get used to the languages. It has really helped to develop their vocabulary.
